Purpose:
To guide and oversee the direction and ongoing management of the Las Vegas Health & Fitness Chamber of Commerce. The Leadership Team consults on issues presented by the Board Chair, President and Chamber Leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with the Board Chair and President as requested.
- Complete duties in a timely matter on a regular basis.
- Read background materials as required in preparation for meetings.
- Attend the monthly Leadership Team meeting prepared to report on the activity and needs pertaining to your responsibilities.
- Offer advice and perspective related to the strategic direction of the Chamber.
- Serve as a model for Members that provide for the health and growth of the Chamber.
- Follow the decisions and direction of the Chairman and President as their representative.

Purpose:
To ensure that all members and guests feel welcome, included and connected at Chamber events.
Realize you are likely the first Chamber member a visitor will connect with. They will always remember you and appreciate your welcome.
Responsibilities:
For Virtual Meetings
Your goal is to mirror, in the virtual context, the kind of greeting that would occur during a live meeting (see “Live Meetings” below).
- You will receive the list of online registrants a couple days before the upcoming meeting.
- Contact registrants the day of the meeting to remind and personally invite them (people who register for virtual meetings sometimes “blow off” the meeting thinking “nobody knows I registered…nobody cares). Thank them for registering and let them know you are looking forward to greeting them at the meeting and introducing them to other members.
- Download phone numbers from the online meeting chat box during the meeting.
- Call registrants who attended, welcome them, ask for their impressions, learn about their business (do a 1-2-1).
- Contact registrants who did not attend to say you missed them and hope to see them at the next Chamber event (do a 1-2-1).
For Live Meetings
- Collaborate with the Chamber’s Greeters, Member Onboarding and Retention leadership to ensure a seamless flow from invitation to welcome to onboarding to retention of members.
- Room Set-up: Arrive 20 minutes early to ensure the meeting space is properly set up for a Chamber event so that leaders, members and guests can focus on connecting with others rather than setting up. Set up:
- Chairs and tables in proper order.
- Guest welcome table.
- Member marketing materials table.
- Chamber banner and meeting signage.
Greet Guests as They Arrive:
- Be ready to greet guests at least 15 minutes before meeting time (guests usually arrive early).
- Arrange to have a greeter at the parking lot to point guests to the meeting room.
- Arrange to have another greeter at the door to the meeting room.
- Arrange to have another greeter at a registration table to capture guest contact information.
Capture Guest Contact Information:
- Help guests sign in on a sign-in sheet (clipboard).
- Collect 2 business cards: One for your records, one to hand to the meeting leader for introduction.
- Phonetically write out the pronunciation of the guest name on the business card so the meeting leader can introduce the guest correctly.
- Connect Guest to Another Member:
Introduce the guest to a member who you know will welcome them, answer their questions and take them under their wing throughout the meeting (introducing the guest to others, sitting with the guest…etc.). - If this person is someone who will naturally tend to refer to the guest based on their profession, so much the better.
Document Guest Contact Information:
- Following the meeting enter guest contact information into the Chamber’s database.
- Help Ensure the Guest Receives Proper Follow-up After the Meeting.
- Welcome phone call.
- 1-2-1 meeting with a member.
- Invitation to join the Chamber.

Purpose:
To provide regular learning opportunities for Chamber members delivered by leaders, members and outside experts resulting in continual growth of professional knowledge and skill.
Responsibilities:
- In-person meetings of the Chamber frequently will have a skills training session and/or an educational presentation by a Member. The Education Coordinator works with the President and Chair to decide upon and arrange for speakers at the live meetings.
- Liaise with the President and Chair to develop an Education Calendar in three-month increments.
- Confirm trainer for skills training session.
- Maintain a list of members who would like to present.
- Schedule a speaker for each meeting in advance, and confirm

Purpose:
This person offers personal check-ins to all Members, as a way of building community, providing leadership, and assuring the satisfaction of Members to optimize retention.
Responsibilities:
- Check in personally on a quarterly basis with assigned Members, using the Satisfaction Checklist, to gauge that the Member’s needs are being met, and that the Member has and is moving on goals with the Chamber. Invite assigned Members to connect with you to answer questions, seek advice, or check in on goals. Help identify and resolve any conflicts with the Chamber or other Members.
- Congratulate Members on progress in the Chamber.
- Encourage greater participation in the Community if required.
- Problem solve with Members to provide pathways for greater satisfaction

Purpose:
To provide ongoing administration of the Las Vegas Health & Fitness Chamber in support of the Chamber’s mission and values.
Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the Chairperson form the Chamber’s Executive Committee.
- Serve on the Chamber’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
- Participate in meetings of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors as called by the Chairperson.
- In conjunction with the Board of Directors manage the property and affairs of the Chamber and administration of its commercial, industrial, public, legislative and financial policies.
- In conjunction with the Board of Directors provide for indemnification of Chamber directors and former directors against expenses legally incurred as indicated in the Chamber’s bylaws.
- In conjunction with the Board of Directors establish procedure and formulate policy of the Chamber, documenting policy in a Chamber policy manual to be reviewed annually and revised as necessary.
- Responsible for hiring, discharging, directing and supervising all employees.
- Responsible for the preparation of an operating budget covering all activities of the Chamber, subject to approval of the Board.
- Responsible for all expenditures within approved budget allocation.
- Exercise the powers and authority and perform the duties of the Chairperson in the absence or disability of the Chairperson.
- Responsible for the safe-guarding of all funds received by the Chamber and for their proper disbursement. Such funds shall be kept on deposit in financial institutions, or invested in a manner approved by the Board.
- In conjunction with the Chairperson, review all Chamber applicants and make the decision whether to approve.
- In conjunction with the Chairperson, receive applicant’s monthly or annual dues and process membership withdrawal requests within the guidelines of the bylaws.
- Set and adjust Chamber membership dues amount in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
- In conjunction with the Chairperson make the decision to expel any member for conduct prejudicial to the aims of reputation of the Chamber.
- In conjunction with the Chairperson reinstate any former member of the Chamber upon terms and conditions as the Executive Committee may deem fit.
- Serve on the annual nominating committee appointed by the Chairperson.

Purpose:
To preside over the planning, decision-making, appointment of leadership and ongoing administration of the Las Vegas Health & Fitness Chamber – In particular, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee – in support of the Chamber’s mission and values.
Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the President, form the Chamber’s Executive Committee and hold meetings as deemed necessary.
- In conjunction with the President, review all Chamber applicants and make the decision whether to approve.

- Determine all committees deemed necessary to carry out the program of the Chamber, select all committee leaders and assist in selection of committee personnel.
- Call and moderate monthly board meetings of the Las Vegas Health & Fitness Chamber

To incorporate new members into the Chamber membership by facilitating the information, connections and involvement that are the mark of satisfying, productive membership.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chamber’s Marketing Communications, Greeters, Member Retention leadership to ensure a seamless flow from invitation to welcome to onboarding to retention of members.
- Connect each new member with a Chamber member who will be their mentor and advocate with a focus of helping them to satisfying, productive and beneficial membership.
- See that each new member receives the onboarding training they need to understand how the Chamber works and how to get the most out of their membership.
- Provide for the creation and administration of new member training materials.
- See that each new member is set up correctly on the Chamber website and database for ongoing communication.
- See that the member links their website back to the Chamber and invite them to display the Chamber logo.
- See that each new member is incorporated into some meaningful position of responsibility in the Chamber.

Purpose:
Develop and help execute marketing plans in multiple channels and media which bring prospective members and other Las Vegas influencers to the Chamber for growth and retention.

To promote the growth of business among members through facilitating joint venture collaborations such as joint training, bundling of services and products and joint marketing campaigns.

- Identify health services profession categories that are most likely to form joint venture collaborations (i.e. Chiropractor & Massage Therapist…etc.).
- Have members complete collaboration form.
- Facilitate the formation of “Joint Venture Teams” based on these likely collaborations.

Purpose:
To encourage and equip Chamber members to engage in activity toward growth of the Chamber membership.
Responsibilities:

- Lead the creation and organization of big public Chamber events such as an annual Expo.
- Be an advocate for guests and new members. Are there needs indicated by potential guests and members that if met would make the Chamber more attractive? (i.e. after hours meetings, evening meetings, virtual meetings…etc.)

Purpose:
To ensure each Chamber member has an opportunity to present their business, its value and desired clients to all members on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities:
- Create and administer a rotating member/speaker roster with the goal that each member gets an equal opportunity to present a segment on their business brand, value and desired client at Chamber meetings (at least once annually).
- Help prepare members to give an effective business presentation to the Chamber.
- Guide members in a suggested format/outline, tools and timing for such a presentation.
- Help members who are presenting navigate the necessary technology: Audio visual display…etc.
- See that upcoming presentations are publicized to grow an audience.
- See that member presentations are recorded and posted on the Chamber website and YouTube channel. Posting on the Chamber Facebook page is also desirable.
